As well as working as a 'Jack of all trades' &
'dogsbody' for Provincial Art Councils such as the
'Culturele Raad Noord Holland'
and the 'Fryske Kulturerried'.
Joseph designed & made exhibitions and posters for them and
many individual artists.
He is also a designer of folders, books and posters for local
choirs and concerts of classical music, action groups and political
parties, pop-artists, etc.; more often then not with no relation
whatsoever to his own work.

These activities started, long before even thinking of going
to an art-academy, when he was a pupil in secondary school and
took part in a cultural exchange programm with a school in Japan
happily it never stopped.

Dit zijn de letterlijke 'kanttekeningen'
in de marges van prenten, posters en dergelijke. Het zijn de
weinige overblijvende schetsen in het werk van Joop Visser, die
tot gewoonte heeft zijn schetsen te vernietigen; "Je kunt
niet alles bewaren, en dat zou ook onzin zijn"
