& the presentation to the Director of the Milev Museum in Stara Zagora ![]() ![]() ![]() presentation of the new Milev-'SEPTEMVRI' book to the director of the Geo Milev Museum in Stara Zagora, with a special copy for Leda Mileva, Geo Milev's daughter, who was kind enough to send a thank-you note ![]() In the Geo Milev Museum in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, September 2011 a conference was held; the new book was on display there, and I was thankful to have recieved a mail from Anastasia Zander (a visiting Bulgarian Germanist, involved in Geo Milev's work). She has documented information on the 12 medical operations performed by Dr. Jan Esser in Berlin, 1918, for the reconstruction of the face of Geo Milev after his terrible shot-wound. After all the formal ecxitement, it's
time for a drink, and a bit of time pondering about how lucky
I am to have so many friends the world over who are willing to
assist in all the adventures that seem to be part of my being. ![]() ![]()
